How did all this start?
SGG began as me simply being in awe that NOBODY on the ENTIRE INTERNET made any sort of Greek paraphernalia for the Sims. I found the poses, but no shirts to compliment them. I play Sims 3: University most often because I am a college student. Compared to TS2: University, Greek life and presence on TS3:UL was just awful, to put it lightly. So, the first thing I did was create Kappas, Deltas, AKAs and Alphas in my university world, noted them by having all their last names as "The [insert organization here]". So I have a guy named Alonzo The Alpha, to give an example. I represented them by putting time and work into color coordinating them in various outfits with their organization colors, and putting them in a Greek house that represented their colors with decor and landscaping (since, you know, EA didn't even add simlish Greek letters to tie us over). It made my University campus so much more realistic and dynamic with them around! One of the Kappas became the university mascot, their were kappas and alphas in my business courses, I had A LOT more parties be thrown on campus.
It was nice to study in the quad and see a group of Alphas under one of the trees, or pass Champion lake and see the Deltas interacting. What was even more awesome was that when the Greeks met one another from different organizations, they began to hang out and mingle with one another, I would see all the Greeks at a dorm party and everything. I didn't create them to join one in the sim world and live some fantasy Greek dream, I just did it because I have many Greek friends and I know how much they have impacted my college experience.
As a proceeded to create the other five NPHC organizations, I thought, "I wonder how hard it is to make a T-Shirt". The first T-Shirt I made was a Kappa one. Eventually, I began to experiment with other clothing types, and before I knew it I had a small collection of clothes! It was so cool, and here we are today. A catalogue of Greek clothing for TS3 characters is available for download and addition to your Sims worlds. I was aiming to fill a void! I hope you enjoy the clothes and I hope I did the Greek organizations on the site justice with my custom content! Enjoy :)
